Plant operator

we are recruiting for a Plant operator for our Wolverhampton based client who are a metals recycling company who specialise in the recovery of non-ferrous metal. After a successful trial period you will get the opportunity to be a permanent member and progress with the company.

Role of Plant operator

* Operate a B1 counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload metal materials

* Assist with sorting and processing scrap metal around the plant

* Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders to complete daily tasks

* Carry out basic equipment checks before use

* Maintain a clean and safe working area

* Ensure materials are placed in the correct locations

* Follow all site health and safety procedures at all times

* Report any faults, damages, or safety concerns to management

* Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets

* Support general site operations as needed (e.g. manual handling, tidying, basic maintenance)

Details of Plant operator

* Working hours: 05:30am- 17:30pm(4 on 4 off)

* Pay rate: Starting at £12.85ph

* 12 hour shifts- 4 on 4 off

* Overtime available and paid at a premium

* Duration: Temp to Perm
